Hello!

As you can see, I am out today. I am posting here your work for the day. Please use the time that you are given in class to your best advantage. I’ll see you Monday. Enjoy your weekend and the weather.

 

Grade 6:

  1. No SAT Warm-up
  2. No SSR

Sustained Silent Reading: (9:15-9:30): First 15 minutes ONLY.

Calendar: Please pass one out to each student. I will go over this on Monday.

Middle Ages Mini-research: Please work on the following:

  1. Determine which 3 to 5 sources you will use to obtain your information for your Middle Ages topic of choice.
  2. Create your presentation: Put the information you have learned into a presentation tool (prezi, ahead, xtranormal, etc). The presentation tool is open-ended as long as it contains the content information for your topic of choice.
  3. Blog: Students, go to the blog and access the link to Purdue OWL and review information on how to create a “Works Cited” page. We will create one on Monday.

Library: Any student who has to clear up a library book/fine, may go to see Mrs. Fair at 10:50.

 

Grade 7:

  1. No SAT Warm-up
  2. No SSR
  3. “Happy Friday! Quiz moved to Monday!”

Career Search & Investigation: Please work on the following:

  1. Determine which 5 sources you will use to obtain your information for your respective career investigation. Be sure to use a variety and ones that are credible and reliable.
  2. Begin creating the product for the research findings. 75% must completed by Monday.
  3. Create a “Works Cited” page and check out the sample one posted on the Purdue OWL website.  We will review this on Monday.

Mystery Paper: I will give this to you Monday.

Library: Any student who has to clear up a library book/fine, may go to see Mrs. Fair at 3:30.

 

Grade 8:

  1. No SAT Warm-up
  2. No SSR
  3. Turn in Allusions assignment.

Peace Like A River: 

  1. Finalize your speech; refer to the rubric and the handouts to ensure that they have addressed all the necessary areas.
  2. Complete a “Works Cited” page. They can access Purdue OWL through the blog and see a sample.

Library: Any student who has to clear up a library book/fine, may go to see Mrs. Fair at 2:40.

Absent Students: Any students returning to class who’ve been absent need to check their folder.
